Create and manage a band

Use My Bands to create a band, manage its people, and keep band roles clear as the roster changes.

Create your band

Open My Bands and choose Create Band. Enter the band name, create it, then open the band to manage its roster. The person who creates the band is its Owner.

Understand band responsibilities

The Owner is responsible for the band workspace and its membership. A delegated Admin can help manage the band’s day-to-day roster and event work. Members can take part in the band without receiving those management controls.

Keep ownership with the person responsible for the band. If ownership needs to change, use the ownership controls in the app rather than removing the current Owner first.

Manage the roster and roles

Open a band from My Bands to review its roster and manage supported band roles. Roles describe how people contribute in that band; they do not prevent a musician from having more than one role.

More than one musician can belong to the same role family. A band can have more than one guitarist, vocalist, or keyboard player when that reflects the real lineup.

Remove a member when they leave

Band management controls can remove a member when they are no longer part of the group. Removing a member ends their access to that band. Historical records remain part of the band’s history.

Troubleshooting

If you cannot see a management control, check whether you are the Owner or a delegated Admin for that band. If a roster change does not appear, refresh the app when you have a connection and try again.
